THOR SLETTEN, Senior Economist Thor Sletten is a Senior Economist at Criterion Economics. His consulting experience encompasses antitrust, health economics, patent infringement, and public utility regulation. Mr. Sletten's research expertise is in industrial organization and applied econometrics. His principal research has studied advertising's effect on retail competition and consumer decision-making. His other research addresses entrepreneurial exit decisions, and the implications of information-acquisition fixed costs for professional workers. Mr. Sletten earned M.A. and Ph.D. (to be granted in December 2008) degrees in economics from Northwestern University and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in Scandinavian area studies from the University of Washington.
