October 15, 2007
Criterion President Hal Singer spoke today at the Regulators’ AdvancedComm Summit 2007 hosted by New York Law School. Singer participated in the second panel, entitled “Unearthing the Money Trail: How the telecom industry is positioning itself to attract more investment, more consumer spending and better economies of scale, and the likely response from consumers, regulators, legislators and ‘the Street.’ ”
The panel assessed a wide range of topics, from emerging trends in the telecom service and equipment arenas to the rapidly changing business models intended to garner more of the consumers’ telecom budget and the shifting regulatory and legislative paradigms. The panelists concluded by sharing their thoughts on what to expect in the next year – from consumers, companies, technologies, regulators, and the investment community.
The other panelists included Carolyn Brandon with CTIA – The Wireless Association, Thomas Aust with GE Asset Management, Roger Entner with IAG Research, Anna-Maria Kovacs with Regulatory Source Associates LLC, and Keith Mallinson with Wise Harbor. The two-day conference is being held in the Manhattan Conference Room of the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City.
