Melinda Ledden Sidak is an attorney specializing in the economic analysis of law and regulation. She has extensive experience working with expert witnesses. At Criterion, she contributes to patent litigation consulting matters and oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm.
Ms. Sidak has twenty-five years of experience in law and public policy, including a clerkship with Judge Edward Tamm of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. She served as special counsel to former U.S. Transportation Secretary Elizabeth Dole and chief of staff to former U.S. Transportation Secretary James Burnley.
Ms. Sidak specialized in international food and drug regulation, products liability, and tort reform while practicing as an attorney with Covington & Burling. Her articles on public policy and social issues have appeared in numerous publications, including the Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
At the University of Virginia School of Law, she served as Articles Editor of the Virginia Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She is married to Greg Sidak and has four sons. Her interests include gourmet cooking, choral music, art history, English literature, and travel to Italy and France.
