Lauren Bust has extensive knowledge of economic and financial theory, with research experience in executive compensation and corporate governance. Ms. Bust’s background in financial engineering and mathematics is accompanied by programming skills in multiple languages and coursework in law and public policy.

Representative projects and research include:

  • An economic analysis of materiality in response to a Wells letter from the Securities and Exchange Commission in an investigation of alleged insider trading by the CEO of a Fortune 500 corporation in violation of Rule 10b-5
  • An analysis of local economic impact for use in negotiations between a major joint venture and its union concerning antitrust and contractual disputes

Before joining Criterion, Ms. Bust worked in the financial services industry, where she performed due diligence research and risk analysis and conducted large-scale accounting analyses for a hedge fund in New York. She has also interned at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York.

At Princeton, Ms. Bust was a senior advertising manager for The Daily Princetonian and an administrator for the Student Volunteers’ Council.
